The American embassy in Baghdad, Thursday, commented on the operation of the supreme religious authority, Ali Sistani, for surgery.
The embassy said in a statement, which received / Mawazine News / a copy of it, "We received with great joy the news of the success of the surgery of the supreme leader, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani (as long as his shadow)."
And she added, "The role of His Eminence, Sayyid Ali Sistani (may God preserve him) in achieving lasting stability is an essential safety valve for Iraq and the region. We pray for his permission for an urgent recovery period." End / 29 BC
