Dhi Qar oil contracts with an Italian company to produce gas from the field of Nasiriyah

Dhi Qar oil company contracted with Italian company Flud to complete the gas production stages in the field of Nasiriyah oil for the first time since the operation of the field in 2007, while expected to complete the installation of equipment and the start of experimental operation within two months.
"It is preparing to produce gas associated with the first time from the field of Nasiriyah oil within the framework of the optimal investment of natural resources and maximize resources, and reduce the burning of gas associated with crude oil."
She explained that "I began, in cooperation with the South Gas Company, the implementation of Nasiriyah gas accelerated project through the contract with the Italian company Flud."
The statement pointed out that "the project aims to invest gas phase I, which constitutes the largest proportion of the total gas associated with the field of Nasiriyah oil," and likely to complete the installation of equipment during the next two months, and then start the pilot operations, noting that "the staffs of the oil company Dhi Qar was completed earlier this year Current pipeline 14 knots to transport the associated gas from the gas station Nasiriyah to the pipeline of national export.
He noted that "gas production will enhance the country's capabilities in the export of liquid gas and natural gas, will increase sustainable development and increase investor confidence for energy projects, petrochemicals and fertilizers."
The statement pointed out that "preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Oil states that Iraq has a large reserve of gas, in addition to that about 70% of Iraqi gas is a gas associated with the extraction of oil, and Iraq is ranked eleventh among the countries of the world rich in gas."
On January 5, 2016, the Cabinet formally approved the establishment of the Dhi Qar Oil Company.
