Al-Fateh: Our acceptance of Muhammad Allawi does not mean that we vote directly on his government
The "Al-Fateh" coalition called on the political blocs to vote on the government of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, stressing the necessity of continuing dialogues with those who reject it, hoping to persuade them and move away from the idea of the majority at the present time.
In a press statement, Ahmad Al-Kinani, a member of the coalition, said: "The choice of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi for the position of prime minister at the beginning of the matter was in agreement with all political blocs, including the Sunni and Kurdish powers."
Al-Kinani added: "Our acceptance of Allawi does not mean our direct vote on his government, without examining its program and knowing the CVs of the ministries' candidates."
He stressed: "Granting confidence without the approval of the Sunni and Kurdish forces will enter us into major problems, and therefore we need a political consensus to achieve the public interest."
Al-Kinani called on the Prime Minister-designate to enhance dialogues in order to reach common visions among political forces and avoid future disputes.
