    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Commerce announced a new drop in food prices in local markets after the ministry prepared the food basket items for citizens.
    And the ministry stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "the supervisory teams of the Commercial and Financial Control Department have sensed a new drop in food prices, after preparing large quantities of food basket items since the middle of last month until now in Baghdad and the provinces."
    She added, "A decrease was recorded in the prices of beans, crushed chickpeas, sugar, edible oil and tomato paste, which were distributed by the Ministry of Commerce with legumes for the first time."
    She indicated, "The supervisory teams conducted a questionnaire in all governorates of the country and checked the prices in the local market, and found that a decrease occurred in the prices of these materials after the ministry pumped large quantities of vocabulary into the food basket project."
    The trade confirmed, according to the statement, that it "continues to supply the entire food vocabulary to the citizens through the marketing plan that is directly supervised by the Minister of Trade, Alaa Al-Jubouri, who directed the staff of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade and the Commercial Control Department to continue the processing operations intensively and to start the poorest areas within the outputs." The Ministry of Planning, while instructing the Minister of Commerce to follow up the agents and citizens to ensure the quality and quantities of the ration card items, in order to take legal measures against violators.
