Muqdadiya.. 10 million dinars for each "martyr" family, and one million for each displaced family
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Minister of Immigration announced, on Thursday, the allocation of a financial grant of ten million dinars to "each martyr's family" and one million dinars to each "displaced family" against the background of the recent events in Muqdadiya district in Diyala, while referring to transferring the displaced to homes and paying an allowance. rent it out.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, visited today, at the direction of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, accompanied by the Minister of Interior, the National Security Adviser and the Chief of Staff of the Army, as well as the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Muqdadiya district to inspect the families of the martyrs and the wounded. and the displaced, and offering condolences and sympathy to the families and their great and painful loss of their martyred sons who died treacherously at the hands of ISIS terrorist gangs.
The statement quoted the minister, during her visit to the families that were displaced yesterday from the villages of Al-Mithaq and Nahr Al-Imam, as saying that the families numbered 227 displaced families so far, and they were distributed to residential homes and rent allowances were paid for them after they used mosques as their accommodation.
She indicated that it is possible, after discussion and coordination with the security services, to transfer them to Khanaqin camp, temporarily, until the security situation in those villages stabilizes. She indicated that the Prime Minister allocated a grant of ten million dinars to the families of the martyrs and a second amount (one million dinars) to each displaced family, in addition to another grant to be paid to them after their return.
Yesterday, the bloody violence in Muqdadiya caused the displacement of 170 families from the villages of the district, northeast of Diyala Governorate.
One of the sources told Shafaq News Agency, "The displaced families living in Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Katoun Al-Rahma neighborhood, west of Baquba, Diyala governorate, fled for fear of new massacres and bloody attacks in villages south of Al-Muqdadiya district.
Yesterday night, Tuesday, Diyala witnessed two attacks. The first was launched by ISIS elements through a deceptive ambush after kidnapping a number of people and asking for ransom in exchange for their release. However, ISIS elements killed the kidnapped and planted explosive devices on the road leading to the exchange place in the village of Al-Rashad, south of Muqdadiya, and the outcome of the attack reached 14 victim and more than 15 wounded.
Against the background of the incident, unidentified gunmen attacked the village of Nahr al-Imam in retaliation. The attack included killing and wounding about 15 people, and burning more than 20 houses, a mosque, a number of cars and orchards.
