Iraqi Airways announced the launch of its first flight to transport Iraqi pilgrims to the Holy Land.
The company's general manager, Abbas Omran Al-Zubaidi, said in a statement, "The first flight of the national carrier took off from Baghdad International Airport to Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah, which was designated to transport 348 Iraqi pilgrims for the Hajj season 1443 AH / 2022 AD."
He added, "The company has mobilized its full capabilities and harnessed it to serve the pilgrims and provide them with all means of comfort."
He added, "It is scheduled that the pilgrims will be dispatched on board the national carrier by four to five flights per day from all airports operating in the country."
