    Today, Friday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi affirmed that the people of Iraq have the ability to seize the opportunity for life, progress and peace.
    In a speech during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Al-Kazemi said, "I am pleased to greet you on behalf of Iraq, which is one of the founding countries of this organization that hosts us."
    Al-Kazemi added, "Iraq is a historical country deeply rooted in human memory, and there are great challenges that seem difficult, especially at the level of internal political conflict, but in return there is a spirit of hope for the people of Iraq, who has the ability to seize the opportunity for life, progress and peace."
    And he continued, "The Iraqis, despite the difficult circumstances, used that spirit of hope to fight terrorism and defeat it on behalf of the whole world, and our people made huge sacrifices to liberate their lands from the terrorist gangs of ISIS," noting that "during that just war, the Iraqi military forces acquired unique skills in Fighting ISIS and imposing the law, and Iraq benefited from the experiences of its allies in its fight against terrorism, we renew our thanks and appreciation to them.”
    And he said, "We renew the call of the Government of the Republic of Iraq to the need to continue confronting the phenomenon of international terrorism and the groups supporting it," noting that "Iraq looks forward to receiving more international support in the reconstruction of the liberated areas affected by the occupation of terrorist gangs Daesh, as well as UN aid to respond to humanitarian needs. emergency necessity; To strengthen Iraq's capabilities in rebuilding the destroyed infrastructure.
    He pointed out that "the state ministries and institutions have continued their efforts to return the Iraqi families in the Al-Hol camp in Syria to Iraqi lands, and return them to their areas. From this podium, his calls for not using his lands under the pretext of fighting terrorism, or protecting the national security of other countries; that endangers its security and stability.”
    Al-Kazemi said, "Iraq stresses the need to respect the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, the rules of international law and international relations, with respect for the sovereignty of states, and the principles of good neighborliness. The Government of Iraq affirms its adherence to an approach that calls for resolving the accumulated differences through diplomatic channels, stressing, "This government worked to establish fair and fair elections with the support of the Security Council, the United Nations, and other international organizations, and they praised its high integrity and professionalism."
