    The Minister of Environment, Engineer Nizar Amidi, inspected during a field visit to the Environmental Protection and Improvement Department in the central region and the central environmental laboratory the workflow and the most important tasks and duties assigned to it, appreciating the efforts made and the continuous activities carried out by the department, and raising the level of performance in a manner that is consistent with the government's direction Paying attention to the environmental file and the strategic projects that the Ministry seeks to achieve in order to contribute and improve the environmental situation in the country.
    The Minister of Environment, in the presence of the Administrative and Financial Undersecretary, Dr. Kamran Ali Hassan, and the Director General of the Middle Environment Department, Dr. Raghad Asad Al-Obeidi, Director of the Urban Environment Directorate Muthanna Salumi, Director of the Directorate of Climate Change Youssef Moayed, Director of Baghdad Environment Sadiq Hatem Abboud, Director of the Central Environmental Laboratory Dr. Sabah Obaid Hamad, and the advanced staff in the department work mechanisms and discuss their tasks and how they contribute to simplifying work procedures and identifying their most important needs And overcoming all obstacles
    , calling for doubling efforts in order to serve the Iraqi citizen and the public interest.
    Amidi indicated that the ministry is working on developing a future vision in order to advance and develop the reality of professional work, by presenting plans and programs that will improve work.
    The visit included a tour of the departments and divisions of the department and the departments of the central environmental laboratory to see directly the progress of work and the necessity of rehabilitating the laboratory or finding a qualified building to replace it.
