On Thursday, the head of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, affirmed the authority’s seriousness in providing investment opportunities similar to the city of Bismayah.
The authority said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “The Chairman of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makiya, discussed the stages of negotiation related to the Bismayah residential city, and the stages of renewing the investment contract for the South Korean company Hanwha.”
The Chairman of the Authority confirmed, while chairing a meeting of the Board of Directors, according to the statement, that “efforts are continuing to complete the project by following up on the stages of renewing the investment contract with the Korean company, and providing appropriate housing services for citizens,” indicating that “the Authority is serious about providing investment opportunities similar to the city of Bismayah.” In various governorates.
The statement added, "Makiya discussed the controls for changing activity for investment projects, the controls for projects excluded from the National Authority, and the controls for announcing investment opportunities."
