    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Friday (February 9, 2024), a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Representative Waad Al-Qaddo, confirmed the submission of a request to host senior security leaders to discuss American violations.
Al-Qaddo told "Baghdad Today", "The bombing and assassinations carried out by America in Iraq are a negative destabilizing factor and have serious repercussions on the internal and regional situation and may lead to a major explosion because every action has a reaction."
Al-Qaddu added, “The House of Representatives will hold a special session tomorrow, Saturday, to discuss the American violations and ways to confront them, especially since they represent an infringement on national sovereignty and a flagrant violation of all agreements,” pointing out that “his committee submitted an official request to host senior security leaders to learn the latest developments in removing those forces and to stand up.” "On the ways in which American military marches and planes violate the airspace to carry out assassination missions and bomb official headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces, which represents part of the Iraqi system."
He pointed out "the importance of addressing the seriousness of the situation and taking all measures to prevent targeting security forces and launching assassinations targeting leaders under false pretexts," stressing that "what is happening is aggression."
Next Saturday (February 10, 2024), the House of Representatives will hold a deliberative session dedicated to discussing attacks on Iraqi sovereignty.
It is noteworthy that the announcement of holding the session comes after the assassination of the leader of the Hezbollah Brigades (Abu Baqir Al-Saadi) after an American drone launched a missile that targeted his vehicle in the Al-Mashtal area, east of the capital, Baghdad, last Wednesday evening.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, accused the American forces of threatening civil peace, violating Iraqi sovereignty, and risking people’s lives in an irresponsible manner, after they carried out a clear-cut assassination operation, by directing an air strike in the middle of a residential neighborhood in the capital, Baghdad, in a manner that did not care about the lives of the people. civilians and international laws.
