The head of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Ammar Al-Qaisi, said that the council, after completing the process of forming the committees, is preparing to implement a large service campaign in the areas of the Baghdad belt, which will contribute to creating a qualitative shift in the services file in these areas with high population density, which supply the food basket of Baghdad with many of its components, according to Al-Sabah government newspaper.

For his part, Chairman of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Ali Al-Hamidawi, said that the infrastructure and housing sectors for low-income people are among the priorities that the central government is working towards, especially in Baghdad, since many of its regions, especially the outskirts, have suffered from deprivation for a long time.

He confirmed the existence of projects that had been stalling for several years and were recently activated, noting that the committee instructed the local government of Baghdad to inventory the stalling projects to implement them successively and give them priority.
