US President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive decree on the resumption of asylum in the United States.
"The United States will continue to receive more refugees on its territory from any country in the world," the White House said in a White House statement. We will continue to protect the most vulnerable refugees, but at the same time we will protect the safety of the Americans. "
"The Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Director of the General Intelligence confirmed that improvements in the selection process provided by the Refugee Reception Program are sufficient to ensure the security and well-being of the United States," adding that "the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ministers can resume receiving refugees while implementing measures Particularly with regard to certain categories of refugees whose entry into the country continues to pose a potential threat to the security of the United States. "
