Planning for «Economy News»: The government is moving to activate the tax sector to support the economy

Economy News Baghdad :
A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, on Tuesday, that the tax sector is one of the important sources of funding for the budget, pointing out that the government is moving towards activating this sector and turn it into a productive sector of the national economy .
Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi told "Economy News" that the deductions that were obtained from the salaries of state employees, amounting to 3.8%, fill part of the deficit affecting the public budget and that the cancellation of this deduction will constitute a vacuum seeking taxes to fill it .
Hindawi was unable to determine the resources to be provided by taxes due to the failure to "apply tax systems accurately to all the output of the economy in the country," as he put it .
He called for the need to combat corruption and tax evasion by any means, because the control of tax revenues will provide the general budget with different resources .
