The legal agent of Halabousi reveals why the latter was present at the Federal Court session

A statement by the Department on the Director General of the Legal Department and the legal agent of the President of the Council, Sabah al-Bawi, that "Halabusi intends to defend the provisions of the law of the House of Representatives in the hearing, especially those texts that are based on the Constitution and ensure the independence of the legislative authority from the powers of the other State under Article 47 of the Constitution The Council shall maintain its privacy to enhance its legislative, supervisory and representative functions. "
Al-Bawi said that the presence of Halaboussi himself to the hearing is a unique precedent where no President of the House of Representatives to attend the hearing of the Federal Supreme Court when considering the legality of the laws enacted by the Council.
Halabousi has announced the waiver of the texts of the Council of Representatives that determine a special pension status for the members of the Council and that it is necessary to ensure the pension rights for deputies as well as state employees and in accordance with the Consolidated Pension Law No. 9 of 2014 or any law replaces it.
