The brother of the Minister of Education: Nujaifi seized the lands of the people of Mosul
Laith al-Hayali, the brother of Education Minister Shaima al-Hayali, denied the accusations against him in connection with the al-Qa'ida organization, after he caused a political crisis after revealing his relationship with the organization.
"In response to accusations against him belonging to Da'ish, the former governor of Nineveh, Athil al-Nujaifi, fabricated the story of the suicide of three of my brothers in operations targeting the security forces, although he has been out of the country for years," he said in a video clip broadcast by local media.
Al-Hayali accused Nujaifi of administrative and financial corruption and the seizure of the lands of the people of Mosul, declaring his readiness to appear before the Iraqi judiciary.
After the Iraqi parliament voted on Shaima al-Hayali, minister of education last month, raised the disclosure of her brother's relationship by organizing a broad debate in the political and popular circles, amid demands for change, while she acknowledged that relationship and announced its willingness to resign.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
