"As well as the loss of sources of green feed for livestock and investment opportunities in the field of tourism and the loss of Basra hundreds of jobs and lost many of the natural characteristics of the Marshlands."
He stressed that "the Ministry of Water Resources to establish projects to control water and ensure the flow properly without causing losses due to drought or flood"
He added that "the Ministry of Water Resources is not serious in its work to sustain and revive the marshes in Basra, we demand the removal of the head of Ajirda or the rapid move to the work of water systems fixed and controlled by a central committee so as not to control the neighboring provinces share of water coming to the marshes of Basra by the provinces Neighboring and especially Maysan and work to secure a fixed and sustainable water share to the marshes of Hawizah in Basra. "
He also called on the Ministry of Water Resources to take care to select important and efficient figures who are characterized by integrity, sincerity, love of work and complete impartiality in managing the marshes in the south. "He said.
