    The Ministry of Planning announced on Monday the rise in inflation for the month of June, while annual inflation fell for the same month.

    "The annual inflation rate in June 2019 fell to 1.0 percent compared to June 2018, when the index reached 105.2 percent," Hindawi said. 

    The Center for Statistics and Information Technology announced in January 2012 that it has started to use mechanization to collect different prices and at specific times, rather than the paper form in force, stressing that this will contribute to the speed of collection and accuracy of prices and correct their calculation in case of errors.

    High monthly inflation rate in June 2019
    (Independent). The Ministry of Planning announced the high monthly inflation rate (0.4%) and the annual decline for the month of June (1.0%).
    Ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said that the general index for June 2019 in Iraq reached (104.2%), which rose by (0.4%) compared to May 2019, attributed to the increase of the housing section by 1.6%, and the section of entertainment and culture by ( 2.8%), Education (0.2%) and miscellaneous goods and services (1.2%).
    The index of inflation rose by 0.8% from the previous month and decreased by 0.8% compared to June 2018. The annual inflation rate in June 2019 decreased to 1.0% compared to June 2018, (105.2%).
