On Wednesday, Al-Fateh MP, Karim Alaiwi, revealed the support of the majority of the coalition forces and other blocs to reassign the resigned prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, as prime minister. This was a "compromise solution".
Aliwi said in a statement to him, "The Shiite political forces pushed the names of new political parties previously uninhibited as new candidates for the post of prime minister," refusing to disclose those names for fear that "they are burned by some political forces."
He added, "The dispute of the Shiite forces ended when Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi offered his apology for the assignment," noting that "most of the Fatah forces and Shiite forces outside the Fatah movement want to reassign the resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi as a compromise."
The deputy of the Al-Fateh coalition, Hanin Al-Qaddo, had confirmed in a previous statement to "Al-Maalouma", that his alliance is still coherent and untrue to its dissolution, indicating that the nomination of the next prime minister needs a comprehensive political agreement to pass it.
