[size=45]The special military vote, during the Iraqi elections, included seven categories of security categories, amid calls to cancel this vote, to preserve the independence of the military institution, and to end the state of controversy that arises with each election season towards those votes.[/size]
[size=45]The Iraqi government is making intensive preparations for the success of the upcoming event, next Saturday, amid Arab and international interest, through hundreds of observers who represent their organizations and countries.[/size]
[size=45]The Independent High Electoral Commission announced, on Friday, the categories covered by the special vote, namely; The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, the Counter-Terrorism Service, the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region, the Ministry of Peshmerga, and the displaced, in addition to the Iraqi prison inmates.[/size]
[size=45]The Electoral Commission refused to include the Popular Mobilization Forces in the special vote, for technical reasons.[/size]
[size=45]Nibras Abu Souda, assistant spokeswoman for the commission, said that "the electoral commission had addressed the Popular Mobilization Authority in order to provide it with the data of its affiliates to be included in the special vote, but the commission was significantly late in providing the names."[/size]
[size=45]She added, "At the moment when the commission decided to provide the commission with the names, it was too late to include them in the special voting record."[/size]
[size=45]She pointed out that "this matter prevented the adoption of the names of the crowd's members in the private vote and their inclusion in the public vote."[/size]
[size=45]Some armed factions within the Popular Mobilization Authority refuse to disclose the names of their members for security reasons, which always raises controversy, on the grounds that these institutions are linked to the government, and not to any other party.[/size]
[size=45]Political and societal circles demanded the necessity of canceling the special vote, and keeping the military institution away from partisan and political competition, to ensure more independence for it, and to keep it away from influences, or submit to political or sectarian desires.[/size]
[size=45]The special vote, in each election season, raises widespread controversy regarding its integrity, and the absence of manipulation or fraud, in addition to talking about the exploitation of affiliates and influence on their personal choices, prompted by some officers.[/size]

[size=45]The expert in Iraqi security affairs, Kamal Al-Tai, said that “the abolition of the special vote is an absolute necessity in light of the Iraqi situation, due to the multiplicity of parties and the identity division, which reinforces the need to distance the military institution from any measures that may affect its work, or cause it to align itself with one party.” at the expense of others.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Taie added in an interview with “Sky News Arabia” that “what is happening now is the association of some candidates with the officers, whether in the popular crowd or other security institutions, and then influencing them, in several ways, to obtain the vote of their affiliates, and to convince them to do so.”[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that "the new election law, and its adoption of multiple constituencies, reduced the use of members' votes, or influencing them, due to the possibility that there would be no candidate for the parties wishing to exploit this within the constituency of the member."[/size]
[size=45]However, a source in the Electoral Commission said that “the cancellation of the special vote is a political decision related to the political blocs, and there are 10 days to take such a decision, as happened with the votes of Iraqis abroad.”[/size]
[size=45]The source, who declined to be named, added to “Sky News Arabia” that “the thesis put forward by supporters of this decision is in the public interest, but there is also a discussion about the right of the military to choose their representatives, and this is applicable in some countries.”[/size]

[size=45]Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi urged to choose the "best" and "the most honest" in the October 10th poll.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Kazemi said in a tweet via Twitter: "The second anniversary of the October protests, which demanded the state, reform, and the rejection of corruption, are passing through us."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Kazemi added, "Today, the countdown has begun to participate in the early elections, which were among the basic premises of October, to chart a better future for our country. We have days to choose the fittest and most honest to represent our people." He concluded by saying, "Immortality to the martyrs of Iraq."[/size]
[size=45]About 14 million Iraqis are entitled to vote in the early elections, to choose 329 deputies out of 3,243 candidates, within 83 electoral districts approved by a parliamentary vote last October.[/size]
