The British company, Genel Energy, said Thursday that its investments in the oil sector in the Kurdistan region of Iraq exceeded $20 billion.
The CEO of the company, "pol wedar", added during the ceremony of the joint scholarship program between the company and the American University in Duhok, that the company has been working in the region since 2002, that is, for 20 years, and that it has worked with 300 other companies.
He added, "We do not want the Kurdistan Region to depend on oil only, but its economic resources must be multiplied," stressing that the company will continue to support and assist the region, according to "Shafaq News."
