British Genel Energy: More than $20 billion is the volume of our oil investments in the region
Shafaq News/ The British "General Energy" company said on Thursday that the volume of its investments in the oil sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq exceeded 20 billion US dollars.
This came in a speech by the CEO of Genel Energy during the ceremony of the joint scholarship program between the company and the American University in Duhok.
During the speech, the company official said that the company has been operating in the region since 2002, ie for 20 years, and that it has worked with 300 other companies.
He added, "We do not want the Kurdistan Region to depend on oil only, but it should have multiple economic resources, stressing that the company will continue to support and assist the region."
