Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's cash sales of US dollars increased, reaching more than 62 million dollars in an auction today, Wednesday, to approach the sales of foreign remittances, with the participation of 31 banks.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold, during its auction today, 138 million 274 thousand and 640 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that cash sales rose in today's auction to reach 62,290,000 dollars, while remittances and foreign credits amounted to 75,984,640 dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that bought cash dollars also increased, reaching 19 banks, while the number of banks that responded to requests for strengthening balances abroad reached 13 banks.
