The most important points of the symposium held by the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, on the sidelines of his participation in the 59th Munich Security Conference:
    ••••••••••

    - Iraq no longer constitutes a security, political or security problem. Part of the problems of combating terrorism, but rather a key to the solution in the region.

Iraq is the cornerstone of a stable regional system based on coexistence, cooperation and economic partnerships that serve the region.

Our government today is based on five priorities to combat poverty, corruption and economic reforms, which take up a large part of our efforts to diversify sources of income and invest resources.

I am personally working on structural reforms of the economy and radical reforms of the financial and banking system to be in line with the global system.

    - Iraq considers climate change an existential threat to it, due to the burning of associated gas that previous governments did not invest in. We also put the problems of desertification and water scarcity as a priority for treatment, and we turn to renewable energy as a basic option.

Iraq has defeated terrorism, and our security forces are highly qualified to maintain security.

Our position is clear and frank. We do not need combat forces from the international coalition, but we need advice, training and security exchange.

    - We are working to determine the number of advisors of the international coalition in Iraq in a way that preserves the sovereignty of our country, which is a vision that enjoys popular and political acceptance.

We have carried out reforms in the security sector, which has not been reformed for years, and this is an important achievement. The political forces support the process of reforming the security institutions, which is one of the points of political agreement to form the government.

The security situation in Syria represents a challenge to Iraq, including the presence of Al-Hawl camp and prisons that house a large number of terrorists.

Al-Hol camp houses 60,000 people, half of whom are Iraqis, and the government returns 150 Iraqi families every month to Al-Jadaa camp for security and psychological rehabilitation.

The continued presence of families in al-Hawl camp poses a threat to the region, and the role of organizations in supporting families returning from al-Hawl camp is shy.

    - Iraq withdrew a large number of citizens in Al-Hol camp, and we hope that the countries of the world will do the same.

    - Iraq was able to control the process of disparity and political differences, and our government seeks to provide equality for all Iraqis without discrimination, and to give minorities a sense of reassurance.

We have come a long way in overcoming the obstacles between Baghdad and Erbil, and this year we will complete the legislation of the oil and gas law.

    - We need the support of the international community in recovering wanted terrorists and stopping funding coming from Europe and elsewhere.

The United States is a strategic partner for Iraq through the framework agreement, and it is not only a security partner.

Iran is a neighbor with whom we have historical relations at various levels. Iraq's establishment of a balanced relationship with America and Iran is acceptable according to the basis of Iraq's national interests.

Corruption has destabilized society's confidence in the political system in Iraq and threatens all development and reconstruction programs and plans. And we started reforming the institutions responsible for fighting corruption.

    - We recovered the money and the wanted persons, which is happening for the first time after 2003, and I asked the Director of Interpol for more cooperation in recovering the wanted persons and the funds. And part of the corruption money in Iraq goes to finance terrorism since 2003.

Closing the displacement file is among the government’s priorities, and we have many displaced people who have settled in the Kurdistan region, and we have allocated projects in the 2023 budget for the reconstruction of Sinjar and the Nineveh Plain.

The role of Iraq in the region in being a point of convergence is a pioneering and natural role, not an impersonal role, and Iraq can play a role in bringing the divergent views between the countries of the region closer together.

There are committees working on economic projects that represent productive partnerships between Iraq and brothers in the region and the rest of the world. Iraq is open to all countries in the field of economic partnerships.

Major international companies in all sectors carry out investment operations in Iraq, and we have an investment law that is the best in the region. It emphasized investing in gas that will supply the world's energy market.

Our government is conducting a monthly review of the investment environment and improving it through decisions and legislation in Iraq, and we have worked to involve the private sector in the Economic Ministerial Council.

Red tape is one of the negative aspects of state institutions, and we set up a special committee in the Prime Minister's office to remove it.

Our efforts are continuing to bring Saudi Arabia and Iran closer, and we will soon resume the meetings that stopped between the two parties.

We are working to solve the problem of employment in the government sector exclusively, and Parliament is in the process of voting on a unified retirement law, which will represent an important structural reform.

We have put $400 million into the Small Loan Fund to provide it in an easy way to young people.

Iraqi women were part of the epic steadfastness against ISIS, and the government is working to activate the work of women's empowerment circles.

-Iraq is committed to international agreements on supporting women and the family, and women actively participate in Iraqi political life through the presence of 82 women in Parliament.
