    The Investigation Department of the Commission announced that it has carried out operations to control cases of waste of public money, and track transactions in a number of departments in the governorates of Karbala, Babil, and Najaf.

    The department indicated in a statement, that "the work team of the authority's investigation office in Karbala revealed that the delay in implementing the closed irrigation project in Ain al-Tamr district, whose contract was concluded between the Ministry of Water Resources - the General Authority for the Operation of Irrigation and Drainage Projects with a general contracting company, led to waste In public money, the amount amounted to (2,050,080,000) two billion dinars,” indicating that “the percentage of completion in the contract concluded in 2014 has reached (56) %) so far.”

    She added, "The staff of the Babylon Investigation Office monitored financial and administrative violations that accompanied the purchase of a medical device in 2019 at a value of (265,000,000) million dinars for the Public Health Department in the Babylon Health Department," explaining that " The device has not been used since its purchase until now, except on a temporary basis. During the month of February 2020, due to the lack of operational and supplementary materials," noting that "the report of the External Audit Division in the office identified financial and administrative violations in the procurement and processing process."

    She added, "The office team was also able to control the origin of the administrative orders issued for the creation of new departments in the Hammurabi College of Medicine of the University of Babylon, in violation of the law and instructions, in addition to controlling the exchange orders for the position allocations for the newly created departments without a legal basis.”

    And she explained that "the staff of the Najaf Investigation Office seized a tracker in the Municipality Directorate in the province in possession of (4) real estate sales transactions according to Article (25) of the Law on the Sale and Lease of State Funds No. (21 of 2013) bearing forged signatures.”[/rtl]
