A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Representative Yasser Iskandar, confirmed, on Wednesday, that intensive meetings were held with the Ministers of Defense and Interior.
Iskandar said in a press interview seen by “Takadum” that “the Security and Defense Committee is interested in including 5 files in the 2023 budget that represent the rights of thousands of various segments, including those whose contracts have been terminated in the defense, interior, anti-terrorism formations and the rest of the other security formations, in addition to transferring employees against whom orders have been issued official, with reference to the defense expense file.
He added, “The Security and Defense Committee is currently holding intensive meetings with the Ministers of Interior and Defense in order to resolve the rights of these segments and include them within the 2023 budget,” noting that “there are procedures that are being implemented by the committee in coordination with the Parliamentary Finance Committee.”
He pointed out, "There is an achievement that has been achieved in some files, and we hope that it will be resolved comprehensively in the 2023 budget."
Parliamentary committees are discussing the items of the 2023 budget in order to provide the required amounts to cover financial expenses.
