Today, Saturday, the US National Security Council welcomed the visit of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Baghdad, while affirming its support for Iraqi sovereignty.
"We welcome the visit of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Baghdad, and the United States fully supports Iraq's sovereignty, independence, and its increasing integration into the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab region," said Adam Hodge, a spokesman for the US National Security Council, in a statement.
