French President Emmanuel Macron said that the new round of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in the Middle East will be held at the end of next November.
"The third edition of the Baghdad Conference will be held in November," Macron said in a speech during the annual conference of French ambassadors held in the capital, Paris.
On Friday (June 16, 2023), the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed that the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, in its third edition, will be held in Baghdad this year.
Last December, Jordan hosted the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which discussed assistance to Iraq, combating terrorism, and developing regional cooperation mechanisms with Iraq in a number of areas, including food, water and energy security.
