An official source reported today, Thursday (October 5, 2023), that higher orders were issued canceling the visit of the Minister of Finance in the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad.
The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The Minister of Finance and Economy in the regional government, Awat Sheikh Janab, canceled his visit to the capital, Baghdad, today to meet and meet with the Parliamentary Finance Committee, as the Finance Committee was scheduled to discuss some details about the region's imports, as well as the number of employees in it." ".
He added, "A high-ranking official in the regional government decided to cancel the minister's visit and postpone it until further notice without knowing the reasons," noting that "the Kurdish side informed the Finance Committee that the minister will not be able to visit Baghdad during the next two weeks, but rather at a later time."
Earlier, an official source revealed a visit by the Minister of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government to the capital, Baghdad, today, Thursday, to discuss some outstanding problems between Baghdad and Erbil.
