    The Iraqi Federal Integrity Commission announced on Wednesday that it had concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Russian Public Prosecution Office in the field of corruption prevention and prevention, indicating that the memorandum stipulates the exchange of information about smuggled corruption funds, the places of residence of the accused and convicted, and non-criminal investigations into suspected corruption violations.
    The Authority stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News that it and the Public Prosecution Office of the Russian Federation had concluded a memorandum of understanding. To develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation, and coordinate efforts in the field of preventing corruption and preventing its effects and consequences, as part of the agenda of the visit to Moscow conducted by the Iraqi delegation headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, and in awareness of the seriousness of the threats that corruption causes to the security and stability of societies, and the undermining of institutions, systems of democracy, and the values ​​of justice, 
    She explained that the memorandum of understanding, which was signed on behalf of the Commission by its Chairman, Judge Haider Hanoun, and on behalf of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Russian Federation, Public Prosecutor Igor Krasnov, aims to share and exchange visions, policies, experiences and studies regarding comprehensive measures taken to prevent and combat corruption, and implement technical plans related to areas of cooperation. In accordance with this Memorandum, as well as the exchange of information in the field of non-criminal investigations on suspected violations committed by officials, including data on their bank accounts, participation in businesses, other property, beneficial ownership and residence permits; This is within the framework of preventive measures against corruption.
    According to the statement, the memorandum included providing advice on legal issues during the preparation or preparation of requests for legal assistance in criminal cases related to corruption crimes, assistance in law enforcement, and the exchange of information and investigations on smuggled corruption funds, and the places of residence of the accused and convicts present on the territories of both parties.
    According to the statement, the articles of the memorandum emphasized the exchange of technical visits. To enhance the benefit of the experiences and expertise gained by both parties, and to activate advanced technical training programs. To develop the capabilities of members of both parties in the areas of preventing and combating corruption, and to enhance joint cooperation through training programmes, workshops and conferences in the field of developing and enhancing community awareness of the causes, forms and manifestations of corruption; In order to disseminate knowledge of means and methods of preventing corruption, and to consolidate the elements of integrity and transparency.
