    The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, announced today, Sunday, that a percentage of up to 25% would be allocated to informants about stolen or smuggled public money, while revealing the size of the recovered funds.

    Hanoun said during a press conference attended by Alsumaria’s correspondent, “The government’s sincere will was and still is the most prominent reason for the Commission’s success in achieving its achievements,” pointing out that “the citizen has the right to follow up on information and the government’s achievements, and he has the right to participate in exposing corruption,” announcing closely that “ Giving the title “Friend of Integrity” to anyone who cooperates with the Commission in arresting those accused of red-handed crimes and who has privileges in appointment or promotion in exchange for assistance.”



    He continued: "We will give to anyone who informs about stolen or smuggled public money or contributes to the return of this money, at a rate that may reach 25% of the recovered money, in accordance with the legal articles in the Iraqi constitution."

    He stated, “5 billion Iraqi dinars were recovered from the financial advisor to former Prime Minister [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1762057275/%D9%87%D9%8A%D8%AB%D9%85 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%A8%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A/ar/]Haitham al-Jubouri[/url],” noting that “the amount recovered from al-Jubouri’s money reached 9 billion dinars out of 18 billion.”

    He added, "One and a half billion were recovered from the Director General of Central Refineries, Ayed Jaber Omran, who is currently suspended, and this is part of the inflation amount, which amounts to 7 billion and 841 million dinars."
