    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    Today, Sunday (December 24, 2023), the Supreme Judicial Council announced the discussion of a draft draft to amend the Federal Court Law.
    The judiciary media stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “the Supreme Judicial Council held its thirteenth session at eight o’clock in the morning on Sunday, 12/24/2023, headed by the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge Faiq Zaidan.”
    He added, "The Speaker of the Council congratulated the Chief Public Prosecutor and the Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority for appointing them to their original positions and wished them success and their continuation of the same approach in performing their judicial duty."
    He continued, "The Council approved the promotion of a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution and the granting of judicial positions whose granting requires approval of the formations in some of the Presidencies of Appeal in accordance with the proposal submitted by the Presidency of Appeals."
    The statement indicated that "the Council discussed a draft of the draft amendment to the Federal Supreme Court law, and the basic principles of the draft amendment were approved and the articles included in the amendment were re-examined for discussion in the next session."
