The Council of Ministers officially approves naming the street leading to Baghdad Airport after (Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis)

Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi Council of Ministers officially approved naming the street leading to Baghdad International Airport as (Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Street), coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the assassination of the latter, who was deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces along with the prominent Iranian general. Qassem Soleimani and their companions.
Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis were assassinated along with 10 of their companions in an American raid near Baghdad on January 3, 2020.
On January 7, 2021, the Rusafa Investigation Court in Baghdad issued an arrest warrant against former US President Donald Trump, on charges of assassinating Soleimani, Al-Muhandis, and those accompanying them.
Since the killing of Soleimani, American interests in Iraq, especially military bases, have been exposed to attacks by missiles or drones, as Washington accuses Iraqi Shiite armed factions close to Iran of being responsible behind these attacks.
