After that, government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi issued a statement saying, “After circulating a document on social media platforms indicating the rehabilitation of a number of (homes), it is necessary to note that the government has decided to comprehensively rehabilitate some presidential complexes, which include a number of guest houses.” The largest, which was previously occupied by some ministers and representatives, made it in need of a comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation process.”

He added, "The Ministry of Construction and Housing has prepared the required statements in accordance with their price and technical specifications, and the Ministry of Planning presented them to the Council of Ministers for approval, and approval was obtained by the esteemed Council's decision on 2/7/2024."

After that, Representative Sanad published an internal record document of the Ministry of Planning, which included notes on the magnitude of the amount and described the estimates estimated by Reconstruction and Housing as high compared to market prices.
