Advisor to the Prime Minister for Social Protection Affairs, Sanaa Al-Moussawi, revealed today, Sunday, the categories covered by social assistance in the current year’s budget, while noting that one million families are ready in the database.
Al-Moussawi said, in an interview followed by Mawazine News, that “last year’s budget witnessed the inclusion of about 900,000 new families with social protection, noting that one million families are ready in the database in the 2024 budget.”
She added, “There is a new mechanism to include more families in the social protection program, including women, the disabled, and the disabled,” noting, “The subsidy for those who exceeded the social protection network has been stopped and given to the poorest families.”
She continued, “Preparations are underway for the process of including the new families that are considered the most deserving, as it will witness Including new and specific categories of women, the disabled and the disabled.
