The Federal Republic rejects the lawsuit to cancel the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament

Yesterday, Monday, the Federal Supreme Court rejected the lawsuit to cancel the parliamentary session of the “first round” to elect the Speaker of Parliament, which resulted in the lead of the two candidates, Shaalan Al-Karim and Salem Al-Issawi.
A judicial source said: “The Federal Court rejected the lawsuit to cancel the Parliament session and the results of the first round of electing the Speaker of Parliament, which was conducted by the two representatives, Haibat Al-Halbousi and Ahmed Mazhar Al-Jubouri, for lack of jurisdiction.”
He added, "Parliament will be obligated to resume the second round of electing the Speaker of Parliament according to the previous results, that is, between Shaalan Al-Karim and Salem Al-Issawi."
