    Former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Fadel Nabi, confirmed today, Monday (April 29, 2024), that the salaries of Kurdistan employees include a decision from the Federal Supreme Court, while he indicated the presence of a technician from Erbil in Baghdad to discuss “solutions that satisfy all parties” regarding salaries and their resettlement. 
    The former undersecretary said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The first aspect that adopted the decision is the disbursement of employees' salaries, and this is the basic rule that salaries are disbursed similarly to other Iraqi provinces."
    He added, "According to this rule, Baghdad must send an amount of 950 billion dinars per month, and this allocation is present in the budget law," noting that "the localization of salaries was stipulated in the federal banks, and this issue currently represents a problem, because the regional government has localized its salaries, but in the banks."     He stated, "At the present time, this issue constitutes a problem, and there is also another problem that the regional government must pay sovereign revenues to Baghdad, and this issue has been avoided as the Kurdistan government decided to send the revenues in accordance with the Financial Management Law, and currently there is a technical delegation in Baghdad to solve this problem."
    He pointed out that "regarding the issue of resettlement, there is a strong discussion with the aim of reaching a compromise that satisfies both parties, and as for the salaries for the month of April, they will be sent this week without any problem," adding, "as for the salaries of the remaining months, a compromise will be reached that satisfies all parties regarding resettlement."
    Yesterday, Sunday, former member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Sabah Hassan, confirmed that a meeting was held between a delegation from the Ministry of Finance in the region and the Federal Finance Ministry, while indicating the date of launching the salaries of the current month of April . 
    Hassan said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that, “The process of sending salaries to the region’s employees is a judicial decision, and there is an agreement between the two governments in the region and the center, and there is no obstacle to sending salaries .”
    He added, "The Regional Ministry of Finance sent the salary lists, and there is a meeting today between a delegation from the Regional Government and the Federal Finance, and the salaries for the month of April will be released .  "
     Hassan explained, “After releasing the amounts, the regional government, specifically the Ministry of Finance, will prepare a schedule through which salaries will be disbursed within a short period,” pointing out that “it is expected that the salaries of the region’s employees will be released today or tomorrow, Monday at the latest, after completing the full audit.” " . 
    On (April 26, 2024), an informed source reported that a Kurdish delegation representing the Kurdistan Regional Government would visit Baghdad next week, while indicating that the delegation would hold a meeting with the Minister of Finance of the Federal Government, Taif Sami .
    The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "A delegation from the Ministry of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government will visit the capital, Baghdad, on Sunday or Monday of next week," noting that "the delegation will hold a meeting with the Federal Minister of Finance, Taif Sami .  "
    He explained, "The delegation will be headed by Finance Minister Awat Sheikh Janab," noting that "it will discuss the salary localization file and explain to officials the details of an accounting project and the possibility of opening branches of the three federal banks in the region for the purpose of starting the localization process .  "
