US official calls for expulsion of Saudi ambassador to Washington
Democratic Senator Dick Durbin called for the immediate expulsion of the Saudi ambassador to the United States, Prince Khalid bin Salman, following the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
"The United States should take this action until Riyadh understands that it will pay for the assassination of Khashoggi," Durbin said in a tweet on Twitter.
He also demanded that Durbin stop exporting arms to Saudi Arabia, stressing that these weapons are used to kill innocent people in Yemen.
