    Baghdad / National News Center
    Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi announced today, Tuesday, the number of people covered by care and the increase in allocations.
    Al-Rikabi said in a televised interview followed by the "National News Center", that "one million and 400 thousand families are included in the social welfare salary," noting that "the government has allocated 5 trillion and 600 billion dinars to the ministry."
    Al-Rikabi stressed that "the government has been fair to the ministry in the 2021 budget," indicating that "the parliament reduced the ministry’s budget allocations to about 4 trillion, and the Finance Committee reduced the ministry’s budget, sent from the government."
    He explained that "the amounts deducted from the budget of the Ministry of Labor were allocated to the poor," stressing that "the increase will be between 25 to 100 thousand dinars for the salary of social care."
    Al-Rikabi added that "the liberated areas were not previously covered by the social care they need," explaining that "there will be a higher coverage rate for Nineveh Governorate."
    He pointed out that "applying for the social welfare salary will be through an electronic portal."
