The cell stated in a statement, of which "Nass" received a copy, (1 July 2021), that "the northern port of Umm Qasr port was able to control a waste of public money with a value of more than one billion Iraqi dinars, after a careful and extensive review of procedures for the dispatch (Shesh Hadid). armament) received to the port".
The statement added that "the seizure process was carried out under the direct supervision of the head of the Border Ports Authority, Dr. Omar Al-Waeli, who confirmed that the supervisory effort exercised by the authority revealed that the required product protection wages were not met in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 383 of 2018, where the necessary measures were taken. The required fees were collected in accordance with the decision and the laws in force.

He pointed out that "this is not the first or last time that the authority's staff has been able to control consignments that violate the laws, and explained that the authority continues to control the security of ports and prevent waste of public money in all of Iraq's sovereign borders."
