The Ministry of Transport / the General Company for Ports of Iraq received, on Friday, four commercial ships of various tonnages that docked at the berths of the northern port of Umm Qasr, south of Basra.
The Director General of Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that the work of docking, taking off, loading and unloading ships and tankers did not stop during the tenth period of Muharram, pointing to the directives of the Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, to support the national economy by increasing the revenues generated. He pointed out that the northern port of Umm Qasr received the ship MAG SUCCESS with a tonnage of 61 containers docked at berth No. 11 and the ship SONGA NUERENBERG with a tonnage of 688 containers at berth No. 12, while berth 21 received the ship JABL ALI/1 with a load of 427 cars and the ship ALBIDDA with a load of 215 containers docked at Berth No. 20 The unloading, loading, docking and take-off operations were carried out in cooperation and coordination with Maritime Navigation and the Port Administration.
