    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced, today, Monday, that the caretaker Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed the formation of a special committee for provincial projects.
    A spokesman for the General Secretariat, Haider Majid, said in a press statement, “Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the formation of a joint committee that includes the Minister of Planning, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, and the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, to present a vision on the governorates projects for the year 2022, and the funds needed to implement them, at To refer its recommendations to the Prime Minister for a decision.
    He added, "The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers continues to follow up on lagging and stalled projects in the governorates, through field visits conducted by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers to the governorates of Najaf and Babil, and successive meetings held in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, to discuss projects in the governorates of Najaf, Maysan and Diwaniyah. In the presence of the relevant sectoral authorities,” noting that “this came in order to identify the most important obstacles and direct them to overcome them.”
