Shafaq News/ Jordan announced on Thursday that Iraq has become the fourth largest importer of Amman's industry during the ten months of this year.
The Amman-Jordan Chamber of Industry said in a report that "the chamber's exports to the countries of the world during the 10 months of the current year 2022 amounted to 6.621 billion dinars, compared to 4.096 billion dinars for the same period last year."
She added that "the exports of Jordanian industrial products spread in most regions of the Kingdom reach more than 142 markets around the world due to the export of 1,400 various commodities."
And she indicated that "India, the United States of America, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, accounted for more than half of the exports of the Oman Chamber of Industry during 10 months of this year, amounting to 3.296 billion dinars," noting that "Oman's industry exports to Iraq rose during 10 months of the current year 2022 to 546 million dinars compared to 443 million dinars for the same period last year, an increase of 23 percent.
She explained that "the Chamber's exports during 10 months of the current year 2022, were distributed to the sectors of the mining, chemical, cosmetics, engineering, electrical and information technology industries, in addition to the exports of the sectors of the catering, food, agricultural, livestock, therapeutic, medical and leather supplies and other industries."
It is noteworthy that Iraq imports most goods and commodities from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, after Jordan was a big market for Iraq in the nineties of the last century during the economic siege on Iraq.
