    Jordan announced today, Sunday, that Iraq was the fourth largest importer to Amman’s industry during 8 months of the current year 2023.
    The Amman Chamber of Industry said in a report seen by Al-Eqtisad News, “The chamber’s exports during 8 months of the current year 2023 reached 4.739 billion dinars, compared to 4.818 billion dinars for the same period of the year 2022.”
    She added, "India, the United States of America, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq accounted for the majority of the Amman Chamber of Industry's exports during 8 months of the current year, recording a value of 2.792 billion dinars."
    The Chamber also noted that “Amman’s industry exports to Iraq rose during 8 months of the current year, to 550 million dinars, compared to 383 million dinars for the same period last year, an increase of 30 percent, and it became the fourth importer of Jordanian industry.”
    She explained, “With regard to the geographical distribution of the Chamber’s exports during the 8 months of the current year, the Arab countries came first with a value of 2.010 billion dinars, the non-Arab Asian countries had 1.406 billion dinars, and the African countries had 40 million dinars.”
    The US dollar is equal to about 70 Jordanian dinars.
    It is noteworthy that Iraq imports most goods and merchandise from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, after Jordan was a large market for it in the nineties of the last century during the economic blockade that was imposed on Iraq due to its invasion of the State of Kuwait.
