Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani yesterday, Saturday, urged the necessity of developing an economic service program that improves the services of the Holy Karbala Governorate, while he considered the service and executive agencies in the governorates to be the complementary arm of the government’s work.
The Prime Minister, in a statement from his media office, during his meeting with the Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Qasim Ali Al-Yasari, and members of the Provincial Council, renewed his “congratulations for the Council to carry out its duties and choose the local government,” stressing “the necessity of developing an economic service program that improves the services of the province.” Holy Karbala, and the living and economic conditions of citizens in the center of the city of Karbala, due to its specificity, historical importance, and religious sanctity, in addition to interest in citizens and their residential areas in the districts and districts.”
He added, "The service, economic, and social programs of the Provincial Council must be compatible with the government program and all its basic goals and priorities, in order to provide an integrated and harmonious effort with the efforts of the federal government, which views local governments in the governorates as the parallel arm of the ministries in providing service to the citizen."
He stated that "the government will work to empower the service and executive departments in the governorates, and assign the supervisory and legislative role to their councils, on the path to meeting the ambitions of citizens, completing strategic projects in infrastructure, and moving services to a distinguished level that will be felt by the people of Karbala and its visitors, who come to it from all over the world."
Upon receiving the Governor of Maysan, Habib Zahir al-Fartusi, and the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir Ahmed Dakhil, separately, Al-Sudani congratulated “the selection of the two governors and their gaining the confidence of the members of the Provincial Council,” stressing “the importance of the responsibility and tasks that await those who hold the position of governor, and the necessity of improving the level of work of the agencies.” "executive and service services to meet the level of citizens' ambitions."
He pointed out that "the federal government has developed its program according to the needs and requirements that meet the priorities of citizens in all governorates," indicating that "the service and executive agencies in the governorates are the arm that complements the government's work, and is an essential part of its completion of the goals of its program."
He stressed "the completion of the reconstruction of the infrastructure in Nineveh Governorate, especially those that were subjected to widespread destruction during the control of terrorist groups, and the importance of achieving community peace and service programs supporting the return of the displaced and establishing stability in the governorate."
