Minister of Labor: More than 4 million children covered by the social protection system

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced today, Tuesday, (November 19, 2024), that the number of children covered by the social protection system has reached more than four million and (85) thousand children.
For his part, the head of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, explained in a press conference attended by the correspondent of "Baghdad Today", that: "The Authority has included 91,766 orphans, diabetics, people with special needs, and those placed in shelters."
He added, "The number of children covered by social assistance has reached more than 3 million children, including 2.3 million children covered by the financial grant for students, in addition to 212 thousand children covered by health insurance.
