    Independent politician Jumaa Al-Atwani warned, today, Saturday, of the danger of continued American hegemony over Iraq and preventing it from purchasing advanced air defenses, despite terrorist groups possessing missiles and drones.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Atwani said in an interview, “Iraq must be balanced in its armament in the East and the West without relying on a single country that might pressure it one day to be within its axis,” indicating that “absolute reliance on America in the armament file contradicts the claims of balance made by successive Iraqi governments.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added that “the defect in Iraq’s armament became clear when the Zionist entity used it as a launching pad for its aggression against Iran because it does not have air defenses, and this defect is still ongoing,” noting “the necessity of having defenses that help us protect our land, especially since missiles and drones have become available to terrorist groups.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "Iraq will be open to any country in the future if the situation continues as it is, with its weak armament and lack of balance in its military capabilities."[/size]
