BAGHDAD / NINA / Dozens of pro- Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki
demonstrated, this morning 19, Jan in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad.

    The
demonstrators raised banners confirm their rejection to all forms of
sectarianism and division of Iraq, demanding not to cancel the
anti-terrorism laws and the accountability and justice, denouncing
foreign interference in Iraq's internal affairs.

    The
demonstrators supported the nomination of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki
for a third term, in addition to refuse Anbar, Salahuddin and Nineveh
and other demonstrations, describing these demonstrations as
    politicized.

Baghdad residents were surprised this morning by
closing a number of bridges and roads in the city. The closure
accompanied with spread of heavy forces of the army and unti- riot
police in the streets, leading to Tahrir Square.

    Bridges and
roads in central Baghdad have seen great movements of citizens who have
been forced to walk on foot for several kilometers in order to reach
    their workplaces. / End
