[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mufeed al-Baldawi, member of the Parliament Regions & Provinces Committee stressed that “the flounder of the service projects in the governorates will embarrass the local governments in these provinces, calling not to employ several contractors for the projects as being the main reason behind the flounder.”[/ltr]
[ltr]Baldawi said “The last meeting that gathered the Prime Minister with the Governors showed the powers that were given to the governorates as per the Law 21 of the Provinces, also it pointed out lifting the financial limit for the Petro-Dollar provinces from being one US Dollar to five Dollars which is a good sum to rehabilitate the services and reconstruction sector.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“The Provinces law grants many morale and administrative powers for the Governors, so they have to exploit these powers to implement the projects and run their provinces, otherwise they will be embarrassed before the masses,” he added.[/ltr]
