The Independent: America providing air cover for troops fought during the occupation of Iraq
BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
It highlighted the newspaper "The Independent" British light on the conflict "geopolitics" now taking place in the north of Syria.
The paper says, Iran has played a pivotal role in maintaining the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government from falling during the years of conflict, and pointed out that Iraqi fighters are also active on the Iraqi-Syrian border, most recently the SPLA crowd forces on the villages of Yezidi were fist elements of the "Daesh".
The newspaper pointed out that the gunmen Yezidis and the forces of the Iraqi army took part in the restoration of Yezidi villages, but declare victory came by Hadi al-Ameri, deputy chief of the popular crowd and the leader of the organization "Badr" who fought his forces, US forces during the occupation of Iraq in 2003.
The newspaper pointed out that the verbal attack launched by US President Donald Trump on Iran, it exports terrorism, coincides with the provision of US aircraft support for the troops, "Shiite" fighting in Iraq.
