King Abdullah calls Abadi and renews Jordan's support for Iraq
BAGHDAD, July 3 (UPI) - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said in a phone call from Jordan's King Abdullah bin al-Hussein that Iraq was determined to secure the border.
"King Abdullah congratulated Abadi and the Iraqi people on the victories achieved by Iraqi forces and the success of the liberation operations in Mosul, reiterating Jordan's firm support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism," the statement said.
For his part, Jordan's Prime Minister thanked Jordan for "congratulations and Jordan's support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism," stressing "Iraq's determination to liberate all its territory from gangs,
"They also reviewed developments in the region, the importance of regional cooperation to combat terrorism and the ultimate elimination of terrorist gangs," it added. Finished
